Ooh baby, I love this song cx

EctiBot responds:

Glad you liked it ;). There's more to come >:D.

Damn son o.o this song is pretty beast. I love the bass that plays with the drums; It's vibrating my router XD. My only suggestion is that you should make your drums a bit louder and punchier, especially the snare. It would "ring" out the higher frequencies like what most drum and bass songs do.

I'm actually curious how your VSTs and samples didn't stretch during the tempo change. I use FL Studio 10 and it destroys my songs if just change the tempo ;-; You must teach me your ways

I just found out bout' you. Your songs are pretty awesome ;) I suck at modulation and dealing with the VSTs -.- I'm more of a melodies guy, but you're really creative. Keep up the good work!

Back-From-Purgatory responds:

Yeah, punchier drums in general have always been something I've been striving to fix, I dunno, old habits die hard and my drums get lost in the mix a lot of the time. My latest song I remedied that... maybe a little too much though... I'll find a nice middle ground eventually.

I'm not really sure what to tell you about the stretching, because I've never had a problem with my samples stretching with tempo changes, so I've never really actively done anything to prevent it.

Thanks though, glad you like my stuff.

Woa awesome o.o I love the beat dude and that deep bass at 1:03 XD. I know it's just a preview but I love it!

D-Chain responds:

Thanks Rover!

Wow, I love your style man, that part that starts at 3:23 is awesome XD. I can tell you tried to put variation to the song by having the background change every now and then.

The only thing I could suggest is that you can lower the volume of that synth just a little bit so you can have your drums have a little room to play. But other than that, I love it. Keep up the good work c;

CaptainRalke responds:

Thank you so much for your response, I really appreciate your feedback and I thank you for listening!

WOW, you're back, I missed you :D, this song is pretty sweet, i love the bass and and the effects on the side, it gives the song... shape, lol. I love the transitions and the melody you associated it with, it makes the song more fluid and less repetitive. Keep up the good work, I hope this song is like a comeback for you since you've been away for awhile :l

PrEmoEffect responds:

Hey, thanks for stopping by! I know I haven't made anything in about a year (though, I did do a bootleg remix of Titanium a while back). I'm glad you liked it :) - I will try to stick around, but will probably be posting sporadically, depending on the feedback.

This is pretty good, if you want this to sound better something you can do is to make that pad a little spread out and give the bass more bass (or you could move it down an octave if it doesn't sound distorted down there). Also you could balance out that higher melody by making it a bit softer maybe and add a bit of reverb here and there.

I really like this track, it's quite groovy O.o I'd like to hear what your future tracks will sound like, good luck.

TaintedLogic responds:

Wow, thank you so much for the advice, RoVeRDude58! :D I wasn't expecting you to review another one of my pieces! Thanks a lot! :D

Wow, this is an amazing song. I just love the progressive feel on those drums, and the atmosphere is just pristine. You've managed to keep a dark, mellow atmosphere with a cheery melody and kept them from making it "confusing"

5/5 Mate :D

Zinitymusic responds:

Thank you man! ;-)

I really liked this song, its groovy :p, I hear you wanna improve alot, well, what you can do with the piano is kind of lower the treble end (not that much) with an equalizer of the piano and add some reverb or a delay. Idk if you know what I'm saying but basiacally it adds emotion to the piano :P

Idk if you started using mixer tracks but you can put drums into separate mixer tracks and do some stuff with it, like giving the kick more bass in the equalizer to make kick more prominent, and raising the treble for the hats to make it...click or something...

So good luck :P, it takes awhile to get around the workstation of FL studio but once you get the hang of it, it becomes a simple activity to do on your computer.

TaintedLogic responds:

Thank you very much! :D I really appreciate the tips. I've been trying to expand my methods of modifying and this will help me a lot! It's amazing how encouraging people have been on NG! Wow! ^^

Holy snap, I love the feeling in this one. I love it! It gets me going, I have been listening to it while I'm doing my homework for a while now :P

To me for this kind of music, this track was mastered beautifully. The way the bass moves drives the melody and it blends perfectly with the lead and that synth that starts at 00:24 gives that other lead a more upbeat feeling. In the background, I guess have really strong falling and rising white noises with the cutoff filter to give every transition an atmospheric feel. the beginning could be just the bass line with its treble part filtered and no drums playing. I dunno something like that, just put your imagination into it.

To you, I guess you were just toying around with what you had and came up with that. Lol, lucky, It's very hard to try and get lucky when playing around with knobs. I really want to hear a complete song of this.

[5/5 FAVORITED]

Cahzmana responds:

Haha thanks for the review :D im glad you liked it!
this project started out as a remix, since i firstly wanted to remix: Ben Gold - Where Life Takes Us
but then it just changed into this song lol.
i too hope i can make a full song out of this. eventho it isnt my normal style or even my genre.

Whoo!! Slenderman!!! This song sounds pretty cool, the tempo changed a bit and I liked that, but near the middle, that synth in the middle seemed to be overpowering the drums and the drums are a bit too soft fro me. In every good drum and bass song the drums are really loud and punchy. AND... you need a good "subby" bass. That low string melody (if its a string) could be relaced with that subby, well, not so subby bass to give a more drive into the song and with the punchy drums it should sound like that. You know what I mean? Also I just don't know if all these flaws are intended for style because piano melodies generally move around allot and doesn't have all the elements of drum and bass song. Other than that, amazing song!

MrKittie responds:

Now come to think of it, maybe i just have added a sub at the drop. But not to loud because i prefer the melodies to be more a focus then the bass if you know what i mean.
Also yeah the drums where intended to be like that. I didn't want them to be big and punchy. I just wanted really tappy snares haha.

Also, i bet my mastering could have been better but this was sort of a rush, 3-4 hours or so :S
And thank you for your constructive criticism and i appreciate your liking for the song!

Thank you for following because you'll be seeing LOOOTS more from me haha!
i've been working on and allot more stuff too :3
more than 20 songs.
